Over the past year, we asked ourselves a simple but ambitious question: What should Mubadala Capital feel like to someone encountering us for the first time?
Not just what we do—but how we do it.

Today, we’re excited to unveil our refreshed brand identity – our visual answer to those questions. Because we believe change is constant. But growth is intentional.
The case for change
When we first launched as an independent platform in 2011, our brand had a strong foundation: a globally recognized name, a sovereign-backed structure, and a team with a clear mandate to build something enduring.
But foundations are just that: a starting point.
As we expanded our global footprint, raised third-party capital, entered new markets, and deepened our partnerships with founders and institutions around the world, we realized our brand had not kept pace with our momentum.
In this industry, it’s easy to default to a traditional visual language - skylines and handshakes; roads and natural landscapes. Safe choices, but not inspirational ones. We needed to reflect the sophistication that our partners expect and the dynamism that drives our work.
We had long discussions navigating questions that don't have easy answers: How do you signal innovation without sacrificing gravitas? How do you stand out while conveying our respect for tradition?
So we began the process of reimagining our brand—not as a marketing exercise, but as a strategic imperative.
Building with balance
We didn’t start with color palettes or font pairings. Rather, we started from within. Over the course of a few months we interviewed dozens of our leaders across geographies and investment strategies. While everyone shared individual stories and personal anecdotes, as we listened, we detected a rhythm, a shared expression of the values that drive us as a firm.
Across offices, our team spoke about navigating complexity, running towards situations that others would shy away from, bridging together innovation with institutional knowledge and capital, and being patient stewards in an impatient world. The throughline that stood out the most: Mubadala Capital is a firm that embraces hard challenges. We thrive on complexity. We move with conviction. We think long-term. We don’t chase trends—we build for impact.
And complexity beckons balance. It beckons simplicity.
Our new brand needed to unify seemingly opposing forces:
- Heritage and innovation: Honoring our roots while embracing the future
- Scale and agility: The resources of a major institution, the speed of a startup
- Discipline and warmth: Professional rigor with human connection
What’s changed
Our new brand is designed to reflect the sophistication, clarity, and ambition that define our work. That includes:
- A modern visual system built around clean, editorial design, refined typography and a rich color palette inspired by the desert landscapes that surround our roots – warm terracottas that speak to our heritage, balanced with deep teals that signal depth and stability. These aren’t arbitrary choices.
- An evolved logo from two stacked lines to a single-line design, that reflects our cohesion and confidence as Mubadala Capital. It’s a small change that signals something bigger: we’re a cohesive platform with a singular vision.
- Signature design motifs like the arch. More than a nod to regional architecture, the arch has become our symbol for access, intention, and transformation. For us, it’s a portal—into our world, into opportunity, into what’s possible when patient capital meets transformative ideas.
But perhaps the most important change isn’t what you see. It’s what you feel.
