Established in 2011, Mubadala Capital became one of the first sovereign wealth-affiliated alternative asset managers to raise and manage third-party capital on behalf of institutional investors worldwide – a milestone we reached in 2017.

In just over a decade, we have built a new type of investment firm: one designed to evolve alongside the shifting alternative investment landscape and serve the needs of investors of all types, including private wealth. Our ability to navigate complexity and unlock value positions us ahead of market trends, while our commitment to building enduring businesses enables long-term, sustainable returns.

We invest through a range of structures including closed-end funds, single asset SPVs, evergreen vehicles, and the Mubadala Capital Balance Sheet². Our alternative investment strategies span private equity, credit, special opportunities (with a focus on Brazil), and other alternatives, including non-control alternatives (with a focus on co-investments, secondaries, and primaries). We also hold a strategic GP stake in Silver Rock Financial, a credit-focused manager that operates independently and generates value across the credit spectrum.

Beyond our core asset management capabilities, Mubadala Capital maintains a portfolio of strategic businesses in private wealth, including CI Financial, one of North America’s largest wealth management and asset management firms, and Corient, the world's largest multi-family office and non-bank wealth manager focused on ultra-high and high-net-worth clients, as well as partnerships in insurance and real estate, amongst other areas.
