Abdul Razzak El Jarkass is a Principal on the Strategic Partnerships & Acquisitions team at Mubadala Capital, based in Abu Dhabi. Abthal Monir is a Analyst at Mubadala Capital, based in London. In this role, Abthal is responsible for helping build and maintain relationships with our external partners.

He has led the implementation of new performance tools, enhanced benefits, and drove diversity & inclusion initiatives, which have helped sustain high levels of engagement and performance across the firm.
Prior to joining Mubadala, Adnan worked as a Financial Services headhunter in London & Dubai, where he advised Banks & Financial Institutions on their talent strategy to attract & retain top talent. He brings more than a decade of experience in people & talent roles, with a particular expertise talent acquisition.

Alaa Halawa is the Head of Healthcare at Mubadala Capital, based in San Francisco, United States. In this capacity, Alaa oversees Mubadala Capital Healthcare investment strategy across Ventures, Growth and Private Equity in life sciences, healthcare technology, and healthcare services.
Since joining Mubadala in 2009, Alaa has played a critical role in expanding the firm’s presence in both semiconductors and life sciences. He was part of the early team that helped build GlobalFoundries, one of the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturers, and later played a key role in its transformation into a publicly traded company valued at $30 billion. In 2016, Alaa began laying the foundation for Mubadala Capital’s healthcare investment platform.
Alaa has led investments in a number of pioneering companies, including Recursion (RXRX), Neumora Therapeutics (NMRA), Exscientia (EXAI), Vir Biotechnology (VIR), Altos Labs, Insitro, Innovaccer, Orca Bio, Unlearn, Paradigm, Alloy Therapeutics, Pretzel Therapeutics, Juvena Therapeutics, and EpiBiologics. He serves on the boards of several companies, including Neumora Therapeutics, Innovaccer, Pretzel Therapeutics, and Alloy Therapeutics.

Alexandra Stark is a Vice President on the Capital Markets team at Mubadala Capital, based in New York. In this capacity, Allie oversees the execution of debt and equity financing transactions for Mubadala Capital's platforms and portfolio companies.
Since joining Mubadala Capital in 2022, Allie has played a critical role in deepening the firm's relationships with key banks and direct lenders and the structuring and execution of various financing transactions. She has led multiple debt financings, fund financings, and negotiating transaction documents supporting the firm’s growth and portfolio investments.
Prior to joining Mubadala Capital, Allie worked at Annaly Capital Management, Royal Bank of Canada and CIT, where she focused on sponsor-based financing transactions. Alexandra de Haan is the Executive Director and Head of Finance at Mubadala Capital, based in Rio de Janeiro. In this capacity, Alexandra oversees financial operations for the firm’s funds, asset manager, and direct investments in Brazil.
Since joining Mubadala Capital, Alexandra has played a critical role in strengthening financial governance across portfolio companies and enhancing operational efficiency within the investment ecosystem. She has also implemented and chaired key Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committees.
Prior to joining Mubadala Capital, Alexandra worked at Ideiasnet, a publicly traded venture capital firm, where she served as CFO and Fund Manager, focusing on technology investments. Earlier, she founded Mundivox, a telecommunications company serving SMEs in Brazil, which she successfully sold in 2014. She brings over 30 years of experience in private equity, finance, and entrepreneurship, with particular expertise in fund management, infrastructure, and emerging markets.

Ali Safavi is the Head of Ethics & Compliance at Mubadala Capital, based in New York. In this role, Ali leads the firm’s global regulatory compliance program, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Since joining Mubadala Capital in 2019, Ali has been instrumental in building and scaling the firm’s compliance infrastructure. He has overseen the development of key policies and procedures and manages the firm’s regulatory registrations across multiple jurisdictions, including the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Prior to joining Mubadala Capital, Ali served as Assistant General Counsel at Kingdon Capital, where he also managed the firm’s compliance program. He brings over 15 years of experience in securities and regulatory compliance, with particular expertise in the U.S. Investment Advisers Act.

Anthony Paniccia joined Mubadala Capital in 2015 and is currently a Partner and Head of Finance and Operations. Based in New York, Anthony has broad oversight of the finance, operations and administration of the organization’s third-party capital activities.
Prior to joining Mubadala Capital, he was a Vice President at Northleaf Capital Partners from 2006 to 2014 where he managed a portfolio of private equity and venture capital investments. Anthony has significant industry experience having begun his career in investment management in 2001 with various divisions of TD Bank Financial Group.

Antoun Ghanem is a Partner on the Private Equity team at Mubadala Capital, based in London. He leads the firm’s European Private Equity program, overseeing investment strategy, deal origination, execution, and portfolio value creation across the region. He also serves as Head of the London Office.
Since joining Mubadala Capital, Antoun has played a pivotal role in expanding the firm’s European presence and driving performance across the platform. He has led several notable investments, including Looping Group, Witherslack, Forfar, RelyOn, Bugaboo, and Babel, and is one of the key architects behind Mubadala Capital's landmark investment in Fortress Investment Group.
Prior to joining Mubadala Capital, Antoun served as Senior Vice President in Mubadala’s Services Ventures unit, where he led investments alongside international partners into joint ventures across the financial services, logistics, transportation, and defense services sectors. He began his career as a strategy consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton from 2005 to 2007, advising clients on growth and operational strategy.
Antoun brings over 20 years of experience in private equity and strategic investing, with deep expertise in complex transactions, cross-border execution, operational transformation, and platform scaling.
He holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Honors in Electrical Engineering from McGill University.

Analyst
Ashley van den Bol is an Analyst on the Private Equity team at Mubadala Capital, based in New York. She supports the evaluation and execution of direct investments across sectors such as consumer and business services and contributes to ongoing portfolio management efforts.
Since joining Mubadala Capital in 2024, Ashley has played a key role in executing several bolt-on acquisitions for multiple platform investments. She regularly conducts due diligence, builds acquisition models, and supports investment committee processes.
Previously, Ashley was an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at LionTree, focusing on TMT and consumer retail investment banking. She also worked at Schroders Capital on the Private Equity team.

Assaad Henoud is a Director at Mubadala Capital, based in New York. In this role, he serves on the capital formation team covering key global markets. With over a decade of experience in private equity and strategic investments, Assaad has successfully raised capital from institutional investors, family offices, pensions, and insurance companies across the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. Assad Rafiq is the SVP of Portfolio Administration, based in Abu Dhabi. In this role, he oversees portfolio monitoring and performance reporting of Mubadala Capital’s balance sheet investments. Since joining Mubadala Capital in 2019, Assad has updated and managed the balance sheet portfolio. His responsibilities include overseeing capital activities and providing performance reports on a quarterly basis, alongside maintaining communication with global investment partners.
Before joining Mubadala Capital, Assad worked at TPG Global in Fort Worth, TX, where he focused on the financial reporting of multiple private equity and venture capital funds. Prior to his tenure at TPG, he held positions at Aquiline Capital Partners, Rho Ventures, and Citi Private Equity. He has over 18 years of experience within private equity, venture capital, and real estate funds, with expertise in financial reporting, taxation, compliance, and regulatory reporting.

Ayman AlAbdallah oversees venture investments at the intersection of technology and healthcare, partnering with companies from formation through growth and public stages.
Since joining Mubadala Capital in 2018, Ayman has played a critical role in launching and scaling the firm’s venture capital presence in North America. He has led investments in several transformative companies, including Ciitizen (acquired by Invitae), EasyPost, EpiBiologics, IonQ (IONQ), Innovaccer, Orca Bio, Recursion (RXRX), Turvo (acquired by Lineage), Vir Bio (VIR), Vividion (acquired by Bayer), and Writer AI. He currently serves as a director or observer on the boards of Capital Rx, Collective Health, Georgiamune, Iambic, Juvena, Owkin, Precision Neuro, Tahoe, and Unlearn AI, among others.
Prior to joining Mubadala, Ayman worked in corporate development at Tecan Group, where he co-managed M&A and equity investment efforts across the U.S. and Europe. He began his career as a management consultant at Accenture, advising clients in Canada and the U.S. on critical strategic and operational challenges. He also held roles with OMERS Capital’s hedge fund team, focusing on the intersection of machine learning and event-driven investing, and held operational roles at several startups including Sentinelle Medical, Pullsar Technologies, and Airo Health (Y Combinator S16).

Ben Lanz is a Vice President, Taxation of Mubadala Capital, based in New York. In this capacity, Ben oversees global tax compliance across all platforms and supports fund and deal teams on tax matters.
Since joining Mubadala Capital in 2023, Ben has played a critical role in standardizing complex global tax compliance processes and bolstering the tax function's support of all other functional groups within the organization.
Prior to joining Mubadala Capital, Ben worked at Ernst & Young, where he focused on tax for large financial service institutions.

Prior to joining Mubadala Capital, Blake was General Counsel at Verno Capital, and held senior roles including Chief Operating Officer and Head of Legal at Renaissance Asset Managers. He began his legal career as an associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and Shearman & Sterling LLP, advising on international M&A and capital markets transactions.
He brings over 20 years of experience in the legal and investment sectors, with particular expertise in private equity, cross-border transactions, and fund structuring.

Daniel Sternick is the Senior Vice President, Taxation at Mubadala Capital, based in Abu Dhabi. In this capacity, Mr. Sternick focuses primarily on U.S., Brazilian and UAE tax issues concerning Mubadala Capital's investments, helping cover investments led by the Brazil and Solutions platforms, as well as firmwide strategic transactions.
Since joining Mubadala Capital in 2023, Daniel has made invaluable contributions to the strengthening of its Taxation function. He acted as tax lead in transformational strategic transactions such as Aquarian Capital and TWG. In Brazil, he led the tax efforts in the formation of BSOF III as well as in structuring investments by BSOF II and III. He has also been assessing the impacts of the Brazilian consumption tax reform on our assets. For Solutions, he has worked on the formation of Mubadala Capital Co-Investment Fund (MCCF), managed tax structuring for various transactions by Mubadala Capital Alternative Solutions (MCAS) and balance sheet, and acted as tax lead for Abu Dhabi Catalyst Partners (ADCP). Kelly Thomson is an Executive Director and Head of Capital Markets for Mubadala Capital. Based in New York, she oversees debt financings for Mubadala Capital platforms and portfolio companies and manages Mubadala Capital’s lender relationships. Kelly is an observer on the Mubadala Capital Investment Committee and is a Board Member of portfolio companies KMAC and Porto Sudeste.
Kelly joined Mubadala in 2008 and was based in Abu Dhabi for 10 years. Before moving to New York, Kelly was based in San Francisco and helped manage Mubadala’s investment in the Softbank Vision Fund. Kelly created and currently leads the Investing In Women initiative for Mubadala Capital and previously conceived the Mubadala Women Retention and Progression (mWRAP) initiative at Mubadala.
Kelly has a broad expertise in corporate and asset financings, refinancings and restructurings across both bank and capital markets. Prior to joining Mubadala, Kelly worked for 10 years at Citi in both London and New York. He then joined Shearman & Sterling LLP as a Partner in its Global M&A practice where he focused on complex mergers and acquisitions and joint venture transactions as well as various funds and private equity investments, with a particular emphasis on advising sovereign wealth funds and state-owned enterprises.
Rodney returned to Mubadala in 2020 as the General Counsel for Mubadala Capital and a member of the Mubadala Capital Investment Committee.

As Head of BCM, Walid leads the governance and oversight of the company's business continuity framework, directs crisis management initiatives, and drives the implementation of business continuity and safety protocols across all Mubadala Capital offices worldwide.
Since joining Mubadala Capital in 2020, Walid Idris has been instrumental in laying the foundation for the company’s modern cloud infrastructure and enhancing its overall technology resilience. He has driven the implementation of seamless technologies, flexible operational policies, and robust security measures to support Mubadala Capital’s ambitious growth and transformation journey.
Walid has led end-to-end technology restructuring initiatives and transformative campaigns aimed at reshaping the perception and adoption of technology across the enterprise and is also spearheading the establishment of a comprehensive Business Continuity Management (BCM) function within the organization.
Prior to joining Mubadala Capital, Walid spent a decade at New York University Abu Dhabi, where he focused on advanced technology initiatives, high-performance computing environments, and the development of BCM programs and projects.
With just over 22 years of experience in technology, infrastructure, program management, and operational safety, Walid brings a deep and practical understanding of strategy and execution.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (SUST) and a Higher Diploma in Information Management - University of Liverpool.

Analyst
Yajas Shah is a Private Equity Analyst at Mubadala Capital, based in New York. In this capacity, Yajas supports investment screening, transaction execution, and asset management of companies across a diverse range of sectors, including media, industrials, business services, and consumer products.
Since joining Mubadala Capital in 2024, Yajas has helped to advance the firm’s private equity portfolio. He has contributed to multiple strategic investments and add-on acquisitions, while also supporting key value creation initiatives at the portfolio company level.
Prior to joining Mubadala Capital, Yajas worked at Rothschild & Co. as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst, where he focused on M&A advisory across sectors including healthcare, consumer, and infrastructure.
Yajas holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with concentrations in Finance and Econometrics & Quantitative Economics from New York University's Stern School of Business, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
